These two aren’t your ordinary couple.
One is on her way to a successful medical career and the other serves his country in the armed forces. Both honest and noble dreams which neither is prepared to give up, or give up on each other. You can see how this goes.
It is one thing to pledge your life to another, through thick and thin. To speak those words. It is another to do so knowing that it will be a future with time spent possibly as much apart as together. No easy task, by anyones standards.
Some may say it is a challenge spending time apart, while some say it is healthy. However I believe that it is a sign of a younger generation of couples who view marriage with different eyes than of our parents and their parents before them. Eric and Anna are a great and joyous example of this.
They are pledging something deeper than what we hear the officiant speak of during the ceremony, something greater than a ring that they each wear on their finger. Pledging something bigger than we are.
I’m here for you and you are here for me.
No matter what.
Now go do amazing things.
I’ll be right here when you get back.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such sun filled Oregon day. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed taking them.
